UCI Accomplishments


  • Organized in July 1991 to cultivate American support for a strong and secure Israel.

  • Grown to become the largest network of pro-Israel groups in the United States by holding yearly conferences and other events in Washington DC and maintaining a very large educational communication network.

  • Composed of more than 200 Jewish & Christian organizations representing more than 40 million Americans who are dedicated to a safe and secure Israel.

  • Responsible for Senate Hearings on the Oslo Accords, led by Senator Sam Brownback, (R-KS).

  • Served as a co-sponsor of the 2003 First Annual International Jerusalem Summit along with Israel's Ministry of Tourism, the Jerusalem Municipality, and the Michael Cherney Foundation. Continues as an annual co-sponsor of Second Summit, late Fall, 2004. Responsible for identifying and inviting American participants to the Summit. Arranged for U.S. Senator Sam Brownback to speak via satellite.

  • Hosted 2 breakfasts in 1998-99 in Washington honoring then Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. More than 3,000 attended each event held at the J.W. Marriott and the Mayflower Hotels.

  • Hosted major events and press conferences to rally support for Israel at the National Religious Broadcasters annual national conventions for the last 4 years.

  • In 2003 ran full-page ads promoting support for Israel in the New York Times, the Washington Times, the Jerusalem Post, Maariv and Yediot Ahronot.

  • Rallied support from four U.S. Senators and 51 U.S. Representatives by obtaining their signatures on a letter of protest to President Clinton regarding his meeting with Yasser Arafat.

  • Unites heads of organizations in leadership meetings to discuss policies and initiatives and maintain dynamic communications.

  • Holds monthly educational meetings in Washington, D.C. for member organizations and congressional staffers on Capitol Hill, which feature knowledgeable speakers on current issues.

  • Publishes pro-Israel Resolutions and Policy Statements/Position Papers on current critical issues.

  • Emails relevant and timely articles - disseminates over 14,000 emails daily to government officials, organizations, think tanks, religions radio stations, Christian TV stations, secular newspapers, magazines, and subscribers.

  • Sends Action Alerts in support of Israel to thousands of grassroots advocates. These messages are transmitted automatically through the UCI website to the President, the Israeli Prime Minister, Members of their Cabinets, Leaders of the Knesset and Congress and Congressional Representatives and Senators, and the media.

  • Maintains a combined UCI website (unitycoalitionforisrael.org and saveisraelcampaign.com, rated #2 on Google and Yahoo search engines) that attracts more than 14,000 viewers weekly.

  • Emails a Daily News Summary with vital timely articles and editorials, to thousands of print and broadcast media outlets, numerous organizations, and thousands of individuals.

  • Sends Press Releases to religious and secular media outlets in the U.S. and Israel to publicize critical issues and events.

  • Holds press conferences on dominant issues - in the Capitol, at the National Press Club and at the National Religious Broadcasters annual convention - with leaders of national stature.

  • Maintains a roster of experts on the Middle East - professors, journalists, and authors who are available to participate in radio and television talk shows.

  • Serves as a channel for providing speakers to organizations, congregations, and college campuses.

  • Provides advocacy training for Christian and Jewish students working closely with David's Project and Dr. Charles Jacobs who does training on campus and community sites. Tailored to counter Arab propaganda and historical revisionism on campuses and in the media. These seminars utilize our On-Line Advocacy Manual. (Pilot project, Kansas University Campus, April 22nd, 2004, Lawrence, Kansas.)

  • Jerusalem Liaison Council was established in October, 2003 as the UCI division in Israel, coordinating with activities in the US.

  • The Knesset Aide Project plans programs that familiarize legislative aides with universities, mayors and other government officials and community leaders. Currently there are 5 day-trips planned taking aides to communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza to give them first-hand intimate knowledge of these cities and their value to Israel. First trip will be take place May 2nd by bus to Ariel.

  • Participation, as a co-sponsor, in the Third Annual Israel Solidarity Event. Sponsored by the Embassy of Israel, Friday, May 7th, 2004, 10:00 am to 3:45 pm. 3514 International Dr. NW, Washington DC, 20008. (Also participated in the first two events.)
