The Radical Left Unites With Iran in March on Jerusalem
Mark Tapson

FrontPage Magazine, March 30, 2012

In the wake of the innocuous-sounding "Arab Spring" that has brought openly Jew-hating Islamists to power in the Middle East, Israel’s enemies everywhere smell blood. Twice last year her borders were breached by mobs seeking violent confrontation, which they achieved as the Israelis defended against the invasion. Recently a global program designed to demonize the tiny democracy, called Israeli Apartheid Week, revved up further anti-Israel sentiment. And now on March 30, an Iranian-backed protest march will attempt to storm Israel’s borders again in an effort to take Jerusalem – or at the very least to draw fire, enabling the marchers and the complicit media to denounce Israel’s "brutality" against "peaceful" protesters.

The Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ) is a well-organized, well-funded movement consisting of Israel-hating activists from around the world seeking to deny Jewish historical connections to Jerusalem and to claim the city for the Palestinians instead. In a clear case of psychological projection, the organizers’ strategy begins with falsely accusing Israel of racism and war crimes:

The march will confirm that the policies and practices of the racist Zionist state of Israel against Jerusalem and its people are a crime not only against Palestinians but against all humanity.
The march is ostensibly peaceful, but in reality the marchers plan to launch their offensive from the Arab countries surrounding Israel and to infiltrate its borders, forcing the Israelis to respond with (justifiable) force...

Bolton accuses administration of leaking story on Israeli planning along Iran border

FoxNews.com, March 29, 2012

Former U.S. diplomat John Bolton alleged Thursday that the Obama administration leaked a story about covert Israeli activity in order to foil potential plans by the country to attack Iran's nuclear program.

Bolton, who served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the George W. Bush administration, was responding to an article in Foreign Policy magazine that quoted government sources claiming Israel had been granted access to airfields in Azerbaijan -- along Iran's northern border.

The article did not state exactly what the Israelis' intentions were, but it suggested it could point to a possible strike on Iran.

"I think this leak today is part of the administration's campaign against an Israeli attack," Bolton claimed on Fox News....

EU rebuke masks ongoing divisions on Israel
Andrew Rettman

EUObserver.com, March 27, 2012

BRUSSELS - The EU's mild rebuke of Israel over its avowed boycott of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHCR) masks the fact that several member states sympathise with Israel's view.

"The EU ... regrets Israel's announced disengagement from the Human Rights Council. This UN body should be able to address all human rights issues and situations. It is a place open for debate, where it is important to have all voices present," EU foreign relations spokesman Michael Mann said on Tuesday (27 March).

The official line comes after Israel said on Monday it is severing all contact with UNHCR top envoy, Navi Pillay, because the Geneva-based institution wants to send her on a fact-finding mission to see what Israeli settlers are doing in the West Bank....

After France killings, EU Parliament observes one-minute silence

EJU News, March 29, 2012

Pictured left - Photo: Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, speaks during te opening session of the assembly.

European Parliament members observed a one-minute silence Wednesday for the victims of the recent murders in Toulouse and Montauban, France.

At the opening of a session in Brussels, Parliament’s President Martin Schulz declared that the "callous and cowardly murder of three soldiers, three children and a teacher must strengthen the Parliament's resolve to uphold the values of mutual respect and tolerance."

"Rarely have I experienced such a repellent act" he said, voicing the MEPs' sympathy with the victims' parents and siblings, and condemning "gruesome and cowardly murderers" who take the lives of innocent children in order to propagate their "crazy views".

"Together with the city of Toulouse and its Jewish and Islamic communities we are all called upon to stand by the values of mutual respect and tolerance. There are no political divisions on this point. These values are the foundation of the civilized world", Schulz added.

Obama's Flexibility Doctrine
Charles Krauthammer

National Review Online, March 29, 2012

"On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space. . . . This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility."
— Barack Obama to Dmitry Medvedev, March 26

You don’t often hear an American president secretly (he thinks) assuring foreign leaders that concessions are coming their way, but that they must wait because he’s seeking reelection and he dare not tell his own people.

Not at all, spun a White House aide in major gaffe-control mode. The president was merely explaining that arms control is too complicated to be dealt with in a year in which both Russia and the U.S. hold presidential elections.

Rubbish. First of all, to speak of Russian elections in the same breath as ours is a travesty. Theirs was a rigged, predetermined farce. Putin ruled before. Putin rules after....
