Robert Fisk Demonizes Mideast's Persecuted Christians

[Editor's Note: Political and ideological support for Israel is a growing trend among Christians world-wide... not just in America. Christians in the Middle East represent the voice of reason and the Judeo-Christian ideal and should be strongly supported.]

Robert Fisk, the Middle East correspondent for the U.K.'s widely-read Independent, recently showed why it is that Islamic jihadists and terrorists, including the late Osama bin Laden, strongly recommend his propaganda to Western readers.

In a recent article, Fisk goes out of his way to demonize the abused Christian minorities of the Middle East for supporting those secularist leaders most likely to preserve their freedoms and dignity. For instance, after portraying the Middle East's "old guard" in the worst possible terms, he complains that "Ahmed Shafiq, the Mubarak loyalist, has the support of the Christian Copts, and Assad has the support of the Syrian Christians. The Christians support the dictators. Not much of a line, is it?"

In Fisk's way of thinking, Christians of Egypt and Syria are unpatriotic freedom-haters because they support secularists, whereas the Sharia-pushing Islamists are patriotic freedom-lovers for not.

Girls' school blown up in NW Pakistan

Unidentified attackers have destroyed a state-run girls’ primary school in the troubled northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan, where government troops are fighting militants, Press TV reports.

Local officials told Press TV on Saturday that the assailants carried out the attack by detonating explosives in the remote village of the Mata Shah in the Salarzai area of the Bajaur tribal region, located 180 kilometers west of the Pakistani capital Islamabad, in the early hours of Friday.

Petition Against Germany's Ban on Brit Milah

June 24, 2012: A German court declared that Brit Milah (religious circumcision) is against German law.
July 1, 2012: 
The Jewish Hospital in Berlin suspended all religious circumcisions based on the ruling.

Sign the petition to urge Germany to stem a newly growing tide of resurgence toward anti-Semitism.

"We, the undersigned declare that Germany has absolutely no moral or ethical right to pass any laws or make any statements regarding Brit Milah (circumcision) or on any other Jewish practice."

Israel, China agree to build Eilat railway

Israel and China today signed historic cooperation agreements to build the Eilat railway and future projects, including the inland canal port north of Eilat. Minister of Transport Yisrael Katz and China's Minister of Transport Li Shenglin signed the memorandum of understanding in Beijing.

Katz departed for a three-day visit to China at the head of a 12-member delegation of ministry officials and executives of government companies. The main project on the agenda is construction of a cargo rail line that will link Israel's Mediterranean ports in Ashdod and Haifa with the Eilat Port. There are also plans to extend the line to Jordan's Aqaba Port.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared the Eilat railway a national priority project, because of its strategic and policy importance. Israeli sources told "Globes" that the Chinese also consider the project to be important, as it fits in with China's global strategy to strengthen critical trade routes. The 180-kilometer line will run through the Arava Valley and Nahal Zinn. Netanyahu wants to cut travel time between Tel Aviv and Eilat to two hours.
