
Yedidya Atlas is a respected journalist and lecturer specializing in geostrategic and geopolitical aspects of the Arab-Israel conflict and Middle Eastern affairs. His articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines on five continents, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, Insight Magazine, Midstream, The Jerusalem Post, Makor Rishon and Nativ. His articles have been reprinted by Israel's Foreign Ministry, The U.S. Overseas Information Service and in The U.S. Congressional Record.
Over the past three decades, he has lectured extensively before a wide gamut of organizations, institutions and communities, throughout North America. He has also appeared regularly on American media programs, and has given special briefings to members and staff of both Senate and House of the Congress.
The author of "Harsh Realities" (C.M. Publishing, 1989) and the co-author of "Israel In Medialand" (The Jerusalem Post, 1988), Atlas edited the monthly analytical newsletter: "Realities" (C.M. Publishing, 1993-94), and was Senior Correspendent and Commentator for Arutz 7 Israel National News (1995-2010). He was also director of the international Jerusalem Conference (2007-2010). His articles now appear regularly in numerous online and print magazines and newspapers.
A Lt. Colonel (res.) in the Israel Defense Forces, Yedidya Atlas resides in the town of Beit El north of Jerusalem with his wife and their seven children.
