Segment 1 of April 24, 2013. Yishai was in Boston for a week to speak about Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) and ended up giving strength and Israeli perspective to the Jewish communities he spoke to as they faced terrorism in the heart of their small tight-knit American city at the Boston Marathon an event representing openess, family, and spring. Segment 3 of April 10, 2013. For the third segment, Yishai is joined by Michael Palmer, father of the slain Asher Palmer (one of Yishai’s neighbors in Beit El). A stone thrown at Asher’s car caused it to veer off the road and both Asher and baby son, Yonatan, were killed. The stone thrower was just convicted in this landmark case and Yishai and Mr. Palmer help us gain a greater understanding of the seriousness of rock-throwing as a tactic of terrorism. Yishai shares some of his grandfather’s history including personal heroism saving lives in Leningrad during World War II. Taking a stand is not always easy, but now more than ever it is imperative that we live with conviction and do the right thing. It is time for us to courageously stand with Israel.

How the media report on Jerusalem has a tremendous impact on public policy. The Palestinian Authority is claiming that Jerusalem -- including the Old City -- will be "restored" to Arab control as capital of their new state. The media stubbornly clings to the notion that there are two separate cities of Jerusalem, East and West, and that the eastern half, including the Western Wall in the Old City, lacks Jewish legitimacy.

Governor Sam Brownback congratulates Esther and the late Vrem Levens for their work in defending the only functional democracy in the Middle East, Israel.

The Unity Coalition for Israel is using the worldwide celebration of Purim by Jews to alert the public to the genocidal reality of a modern-day "Esther" scenario. Jews are again threatened with total annihilation by a Persian force.

Rabbi Benny Elon is Director of the International Israel Allies Caucus Foundation. The IIACF coordinates pro-Israel legislative committees in nineteen countries. This includes a large group of legislators in the United States House of Representatives.

Rabbi Elon was recently the guest speaker at a Kansas City BIAV Synagogue Purim event that honored President and Founder of the Unity Coalition for Israel, Esther Levens and her late husband, Vrem Levens. We publish his speech as it was delivered at that Gala Purim Event.

His ominous message, "Do Not Imagine You`ll be Safe in the King`s Palace," must be heeded by all Westerners - especially by the best ally of liberty and democracy in the Middle East, Israel. It is the warning that deadly global events, inspired by the radical Islamic ideologies of Jihad and Shariah law, can overtake modern, materialistic society - no matter how safe we mistakenly think we are.

Purim is the festival that celebrates the story of the defeat of Haman by Mordecai and Esther. The modern day Haman, Ayatollah Khāmene’i," is using Ahmadinejad to acquire long and short range nuclear weaponry. This presents a very disconcerting "Esther" parallel. The IIACF caucus of 19 legislatures is working hard to counter this devastating outcome.

Esther Levens and the Unity Coalition for Israel will continue to work closely with Rabbi Benny Elon and the IIACF to negate this imminent threat.

Drafted shortly after the Six-Day War, the plan called for Israel to retain sovereignty in some of the territories it came to control in Judea and Samaria, and delineated a security border extending from the Jordan Valley up the steep eastern slopes of the Judea-Samaria mountain ridge and retained sovereignty over Jerusalem as Israel`s united capital. In the aftermath of Arafat`s rejection of Prime Minister Ehud Barak`s peace offer, the Palestinian suicide bombing war that followed, Ariel Sharon`s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the Second Lebanon War, the failed Annapolis talks, and the recent war in Gaza, the Netanyahu government is readopting the notion that safeguarding Israel`s vital security requirements is the only path to a viable and durable peace with our Palestinian neighbors. The Palestinians have adhered to their historical narrative of armed struggle that denies Israel`s right to exist as a Jewish nation-state, regardless of signed agreements or unilateral Israeli withdrawals. The Palestinians have interpreted Israeli territorial withdrawals as signs of weakness and retreat that have energized their struggle to force additional Israeli territorial concessions Until now, the Palestinians have only been asked for a "top-down" peace process, throughout which their leaders have held meetings, shaken hands, attended peace conferences, and even signed agreements with Israeli leaders. But when a peace process does not sprout from the grassroots of a society, it is both pointless and useless. Until three-year-old children in Ramallah stop being taught to idolize "martyrs" who blow themselves up for jihad against Israelis and Jews, there will only be a "peace process" in the imaginations of the self-deluded.
